Red Salmon has been serving Lancaster for nearly a decade, offering the community a fresh and welcoming place to enjoy sushi and more. When they first opened, there were only a handful of sushi options in town. Today, they’ve become a local favorite thanks to their commitment to quality, customer care, and connection to the community.
Their continued success in the Open Rewards program and commitment to serving local families have earned them this month's spotlight.
Owner Danny and his team take pride in more than just great food. They believe in making every guest feel welcome. Whether it is chatting with new visitors about their stories or ensuring every meal is prepared with care, hospitality is at the heart of Red Salmon. As one team member shared, “The first time I met the owner, the first thing he said was that he wanted to take care of us. I felt really appreciated.” That same spirit extends to every customer who walks through their doors.
Freshness is another key ingredient to their success. Fish is delivered daily and prepared every morning, ensuring every roll and sashimi plate is as fresh as possible. Customer favorites include the Lemon Salmon Roll, known for its light and refreshing flavor, and the Spicy Avocore Roll, topped with crispy fried onions for a bold kick. Danny himself enjoys keeping it simple with sashimi, thick fresh cuts served with dipping sauces.
Red Salmon also keeps its menu open and family friendly. Alongside sushi, they offer dishes like fried fish, chicken, beef, yakisoba noodles, and fried rice, making it a perfect spot for groups and families with different tastes. As one team member put it, “I like when new people come in saying they do not like fish, and then they try one piece and say, ‘Oh my god, this was amazing.’”
Their journey would not be complete without recognizing the partnership with the City of Lancaster. The Red Salmon team shared how grateful they are for the City’s support in opening the restaurant and for programs like Open Rewards, which help them give back to customers while boosting the local economy.
