About the Program

Lancaster’s Vandalism Prevention & Community Enhancement Grant Program supports projects that make neighborhoods safer, stronger, and more vibrant. This funding opportunity helps local businesses, nonprofits, faith-based groups, and public-serving organizations invest in improvements that prevent vandalism, repair damage, and enhance the appearance and safety of community spaces. From security upgrades and lighting to façade improvements and beautification, the program focuses on practical solutions that protect community assets and boost local pride and economic vitality.

Who Can Apply

To qualify, businesses must meet the following requirements:

  • Businesses
  • Non-profits
  • Faith-based organizations
  • Public-serving organizations

The project site must be within Lancaster city limits, and the applicant has permission or legal control of the property.

Partnerships are welcome, but one lead applicant must take responsibility for the project.

Eligibility & Requirements

  • Applicants must have site control (own, lease, or written permission) and authority to complete the work.
  • Projects must prevent or repair vandalism or improve community-facing property with a clear public benefit. Funds can’t be used for routine maintenance, interior-only upgrades, operating costs, or past expenses.
  • A complete application must include a project description, budget, timeline, photos, and proof of site control.
